Professional 2D Animation Training 

Tinseltown Animation School offers elite, professional-grade training in traditional 2D animation. Whether you are a local student in Indiana or joining us from across the globe online, you will receive the same high-caliber curriculum taught at the world’s leading art institutes, but at a fraction of the cost.

Every class is personally conducted by Greg Manwaring, a veteran of the Disney animation studios. With decades of industry experience, Greg brings a curriculum he spent over three years developing for his students at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles.

• In-Depth Mentorship: Class sizes are strictly limited to 10 students to ensure personalized, one-on-one training.
• Work at Your Own Pace: Students are individually mentored with no external time pressure, allowing you to truly master the skills before moving forward.

Our program is divided into three core areas of study designed to take you from a beginner to an industry-ready professional:

• Beginner: The Essential Basics 

Master the 12 Core Principles of Animation. Improve your drawing skills, develop your design sense, and learn the fundamentals of "bringing things to life."

• Intermediate: Skill Development

Focus on character acting, design, and weight. Learn the physics behind  character locomotion and how to "manipulate gravity" to give your characters believable, yet  caricatured, motion.

• Advanced: Concepts and Skills

Complete complex acting exercises involving multiple characters.      

Characters become living and breathing beings. Thought processes are  clearly conveyed in performance.   

Develop the real-world showreel and technical skills required to get hired in a professional studio.

At Tinseltown, we prioritize competence. While we do not issue traditional educational degrees (saving you the $120,000 – $300,000 cost of a 4-year university), we provide something more valuable: a specialized set of skills.

In the animation industry, you are hired based on your talent and your showreel. Our goal is to give you a "foot in the door" at major film and television productions or the skills to create your own independent films. Your work will speak for itself.

Classes run year-round. While we emphasize in-person learning, we utilize Zoom for online sessions and flexibility.

Tuition Rates:

• Registration: $100 (One-time fee)
• Full-Time: $500 per month (8 classes)
• Part-Time: $300 per month (4 classes)
• Hobbyist: $160 per month (2 classes)
• Single Class: $80 (Drop-in rate)

Equipment Rental (Optional):

• Animation Laptop: $10 per class (Wacom-enabled 15.6" laptop + software)
